Steeeeeph! I've finished painting Etienne for you. I sincerely hope you like him. I realized after I was done that he's kind of got a color scheme going on, all browns really, and I apologize for that. I know it will make it hard to give him white or pink wigs or such. ^.^;;;; I took pictures of him with 2 different color wigs and O'Malley's ( Read more... )

Yes, I am utterly enthralled. I need to get him some eyelashes for when he comes home... and he most definately needs his own body. Dreaming Shiwoo is probably the one dream/sleep head from luts I'd take as-is, no mods. XD He's so cute, yet... sly ;D

Hmm, mostly regular old acrylics (XD), and then ground up oil-free pastels. ^_^ Nothing fancy! Just cheap stuff from my old art room teacher's supply closet hehe. ;D

Wow, that is fantastic! So, you put MSC on first and then you paint it down, right? I'm going to be torturing my first face and I wanted to ask you. Wow...you did just such a great job. Just wanted to gush. :)

Yep, you put the coating down first, 2-3 coats, to protect the resin and prevent stains, and also to give the the baby-butt-smooth resin a "tooth" so that the dusty, flaky pastels used for blushing have something to cling to and don't just 'rub' off. Then paint paint paint, usually spraying another coat or two after each layer / stage of painting, like lips, eyes, blushing, eyerows, etc. Then another 3-4 coats of MSC to protect the whole face-up! I like to use gloss afterwards also, it protecs the paint from chipping even further, and usually looks really pretty to boot!
