took a couple days to digest

9:22 AM 2/4/09 · So, Heroes: Fugitives kicked off this past Monday and it was interesting. I'm liking what they're doing but at the end of the episode I was shocked. It was a good shocked but still...

...and there's some real points of confusion.

Minus the giant killer robots, this series is getting more and more X·Men.

Days of Future Past much? )

Welcome to the club. I've been saying that Tim Kring needs to get off the X-men kick for months now. He might as well just go pump Stan lee for the rights and make it the X-men show.

I don't think it's a bad thing and it's kinda common. The 4400 was much the same...

I'm wondering if Matt's new abilities are the result of the 'magic paste' that the African gave him...
It's possible that the paste has some ability to give powers (like the serum)... Or maybe just 2 powers (precognative painting and visions)... The African may not have even been born with powers at all...
If that's the case, Hiro may have developed the same power after he had the paste... But his powers were sucked away before he could display them...
It's not so much of a stretch that Matt never displayed the painting because he never picked up a pencil to doodle...

I *think* Mohinder still had his strength when he grabbed Peter to keep him from flying out of the plane at the end. But yeah, weird that Peter had to touch him to get the power at all.

I'm wondering if Bennett is pulling a double-agent sort of thing. Pretending to be working with the Petrellis but actually trying to get the emo-sapiens out of harm's way. At least, I hope so, because I would be seriously pissed if he was just purely working with Nathan. Not only do I like him too much for that, it would go pretty harshly against the "morally grey" character that makes him him - it would be pretty distinctly black.

I just hope they have a GOOD explanation for Sylar being alive.

I thiiink it was said in an interview that the only way to kill a person with rapid cellular regeneration is beheading or, in Adam's case, completely sucking out their power.

As for Peter's new ability, I took it as having to touch a person in order to gain their abilities (or maybe it is related to adrenaline?). Then, when he touched someone else, he lost the previous ability. He was getting beaten up when he accidentally touched Tracey (freezing girl), didn't he? I took that as meaning he lost Mohinder's strength.

Just because he has the strength doesn't make him invulnerable. He never touched DL way back when and he had the phasing ability.
