I'm a nerd. I watch the debates like it's the Super Bowl. It's not because I'm undecided, but rather because I like watching a good conversation of ideas...when it's offered. So I've been watching the live coverage of the DNC for a couple hours now tonight, and I have learned a lot.  Identifying signs of a really serious attendee:

1.  Obnoxious red, white and blue outfits.

2.  Goofy hats, generally of the Cat in the Hat or Uncle Sam persuasion and as red white and blue as the rest of the outfit.

Today, ESPN2 was broadcasting the World Hot Dog Eating Contest. Although, I intend on devoting this journal entry to its mockery, it is hard to find any kind of sentence that can follow that up.
