Got some more work done on the paper at the writing day on Sunday (+1 Helpfulness to sylver_spiders for motivating me to finally get around to organising it, and +1 Helpfulness to aurellia for coming over and writing with me). Update type: moving forward, with assistance

I got my application in on time, signed off, laughed a merry laugh - then realised I'd forgotten to attach my results. Argh. Couldn't edit the application after that, so after a day of dithering I called the contact number and forwarded the attachment onwards. Fingers crossed, ne?

After getting some feedback from sylver_spiders, we've decided to make the updates, quest levels and attribute points a bit more structured, so it feels more like an external reward that the game or your friends award to you, rather than a subjective reward that you give to yourself ( Read more... )

There are two extra features we were uncertain about introducing to the playtest at the start: the Procrastination Demon minigame, and leveling up attributes. After writing my first weekly update about my PhD quest, though, I think adding these features would be a good idea - to me it feels like they make Epic Quest more of a game, rather than just ( Read more... )
