So, there was a hurricane (which the BG charmingly kept calling a "candy cane"). But I'm so used to the late summer thunderstorms in DC, and Irene didn't have a whole lot of thunder and lightning (I guess maybe hurricanes don't?), so it was kinda anticlimactic.
