Just a very quicky Final Fantasy VII fic, because the game's been out for ten years today. :)

There's something emotional about this fic that you captured, but I can't quite put my finger on it. X3

There are some great concrete details here, especially in that opening line, and those galloping, breathless sentences are a perfect match for Cloud's excitement and nerves. Oh, the irony. Poor Cloud.

(But -- I think "approximately eight paper bags in which to throw up in" from the first line might need one less "in.")
