Hey I was wondering if you could help me with this one...

Oops, then I made a background copy like you did, and put it at the top, but the icon still looks the same as when I began! How do you make the brushes go through?

you can change the overlay settings by changing the option in the drop down box that currently reads 'normal'. changing it to..say 'soft light' will give you the effect you were looking for as well.
