eek! iasons getting a rather -large- tattoo at midday today. like just under half the size of his back:O he designed it himself-type of tribal looking image.pretty. gonna look hot but like ouch. ouchhh! nothing like being scrapped but a needle for 2 hrs straight...i could barely stand 40 min on mine. ive made him promise to not let me get one till ( Read more... )

it was actually beacsue you mensioned that band a while back and i went to cheak out do make say think stuff and was recognised it from your mix of stuff you gave me/left at my house. hell yes.

yes but wasnt yours done traditionally? with bamboo?
ah well i could be very wrong...it was quoted at 2hrs...it is coloured in so yes mabey longer! argh! so sore after!

Nah, mine was done the normal way. I hear the traditional way hurts even more.

It took about an hour for the linework and three for the filling in. But there were a lot of fiddly bits so I think that's why it took so long.

I've gotta say, Broken Social Scene puts on an absolutely incredible show.

though I haven't figured out how many members there actually are in the band. last count was 17.

like.... 5?

it's a roving band. or not even a band really... just a bunch of people who move in and out of the band. so aside from a few... they pretty much come and go as they please.

when I saw them, they really had everything but the kitchen sink on hand. two drummers, five guitarist, bass player, brass, violin, three(?) sole vocalist... and what have you.

it was cool cuz they are one of those rare bands that are clearly having a blast on stage.
