So I realized something. Time is flying by. These past few years of high school have gone by so fast, I can't even believe it.
It seems like just yesterday that I was scared of seniors; wearing all black and thinking I was cool; thinking that Dakota was big; wanted to graduate. It is really weird.
Plus, so many people have changed since elementary school. In 2nd grade, me and Mike Maniaci were really good friends. We, obviously, haven't talked since then. (I even have a picture of me, him, my mom, and his mom together in a park. Aww. =) haha.)
In 4th grade, I was best friends with Molly Deslandes. Now we rarely talk and we are very different.
In 5th grade, everyone was friends. I only have a handful of those people that I still talk to. And even less that I actually still hang out with.
In middle school, we began the clique's. We each had our own friends and we didn't go outside that little group.
In sixth grade, I remember being afraid of the 8th graders because they were soo freaking tall. Haha.
In 7th grade, we all wanted to be 8th graders sooo badly.
When we finally got to be 8th graders, we were terrified of going to Dakota with those big 8th graders that we were so scared of as 6th graders.
It's just really scary how fast our lives are going by. I don't really like it. I mean, I of course want to go to college and move out on my own but, admit it. It is the scariest thing we will ever do. We have been soley dependent on our parents for most of our lives. (unless we got a job or something like that.)
Now, all of a sudden, we have to move out on our own and pay our own bills, buy our own groceries, cook our own food, do our own laundry, etc. We have to do the things that most of us don't usually do, or don't do at all. It is really scary. And sometimes, I think that I don't want to do it. But I know I have to because I really need to get out on my own and get away from my parents. We all need to try to live by ourselves because, if you think of it, it's kind of like a rite of passage. I mean, think about all the people who have never had to do any of that because, let's say, that they inherited a shitload of money and they hired people to do everything. Think of how they are going to end up when they don't have any money left. They won't know how to support themselves.
I don't know. I am just ranting. Sorry. I guess that's what mcdonalds apple pie does to you. Hahahaha.
