You know, the way you talk about it. God and all that. I wish I could believe again. It sounds nice. Unfortunately I would have to like... hit my head hard enough to induce permanent amnesia.
It does make me sad though. That I can't. And I'll admit that sometimes reading things like this where someone talks on about "His love" and whatnot, makes me feel sickened because it seems so... I don't even know the word. But deep down, I really would like to know it.
What happened that you need to forget? When bad things happen, people usually react in one of two ways. They decided that since that happened, God doesn't exist because a true God wouldn't allow that to happen, or they become stronger in their faith. The second one sounds crazy; I know it does. However, I believe that the hard times are simply trials in your life. God doesn't give you anything you can't handle. It may be really tough, but you've got it in you. All throughout the Bible, there are verses talking about God testing them. I believe it's an honor to be on trial for God. Personally, I want to go somewhere where I'm in danger for my faith. Trials aren't all that extreme, obviously, but they are meant to strengthen our faith and put our hearts in the right place. I don't remember the verse right now, but it's something along the lines of, "Cross examine me, Lord, put me on trial. Make sure I'm living for You, search my whole life..." Often if we get too full of pride or caught up in the world, God reminds us who is in charge
