I went to the AcaDeca SUPERQuiz today, and it was so amazing. Best school function I've ever been to. Kennedy got third place overall (out of.. 20 or so schools?) in the oral section, and I was so ecstatic. I'm inspired to join next year, but I'm increasingly hesitant due to not wanting to have a huge workload: five academic classes and two ( Read more... )

i took 7 classes senior year, and i started off on the B team for acadeca.. i ended up dropping because i was just not that into it, plus it was too much work. but the people who did stick with it absolutely LOVED it, so if you're interested enough in it, it might be worth it to try it out...

Haha well Sheldon's Acadeca team sucks because it is an extracurricular not a class. No wonder so many schools take it so seriously. Our team just meets like every week at lunch on Thursday and we just play around and then go to Acadeca and totally BS everything :] Well yeah the thing with my school is that we have a block schedule and so we have four class (for two hours) for half a year then switch with another four classes. So for some Ap classes that are in fall, you have to hella study so you don't forget everything by spring. Well I wouldn't recommend overloading with AP classes unless you are supergenius and even then I know it is hard to keep up. I know it just kills you to not take one ap that everyone else is taking but really it helps out. you should take APs that you need and will fit with your major and be most impressive to your college. Oh yeah have you taken SATs ii for each ap you've taken? THAT IS RECOMMENDED!!! You have to take at least 2? or 3? Sat Subjects for UCs ( ... )
