That was beautiful. I almost don't even want to know what happens (in the sense that I wont handle a sad ending very well) so I wont beg for a sequel, but damn, that was good.

I loved the constant use of Draco's hair, and...I just loved it.

Merlin's Magic! The words, the scene, the devastation, the war, Hermione not knowing what but knowing there is something between Harry and Draco (being the first one to him after the final battle) that she fights for Draco's rights when Harry cannot, the dream clips of early times, the markings, the love, the GiveMyLifeForYours!Draco, the returning Memory - and Harry going to claim his Draco! I normally avoid war stories, a little too much like RL for me to actually read regularly as my fanfics of choice; however, your lead-in about your friend, Jenny, and vow to stick to her prompts...I went for it. I am sooooo glad that I did. The read was thought-provoking and quite fulfilling! *breathe*

Now that air is back in my lungs ... I forgot to tell you that I really loved how you ended with a glimmer of hope:

'then the shy unsteady trail of Draco’s finger burning cool against Harry’s forearm, curious and questioning and testing.'

As your friend, Jenny said: "HARRY AND DRACO EQUALLS TRUE LOOOOVE AND TRUE LOVE WILL OVERCOME ALL."

It was Draco's love for Harry that made him throw himself in front of the Curse to save Harry ... now with Harry's memory back, his returned love can pull Draco back from under blood-red-skies! Together, they are extraordinarily powerful wizards and their love for each other knows no bounds!
