wow. sounds like a message from someone older than you are. (as in a good thing, a mature way to look at things) often life doesn't feel good -- but it is good -- even in all its brokenness and mess. it is always encouraging when people initiate with you and is usually disappointing when they don't. i think one of the greater challenges of life is to avoid self-pity in such circumstances and initiate all the more yourself. often feelings follow behavior, that is, choices we make. sounds like getting dressed up was a positive, affirming kind of choice. keep pressing on.
