Remember two years ago when the entire Eastern Seaboard lost power and went through a 5 day blackout? I was working that night. wow what a crazy day! i can't believe they had you acting as a CNA for the day. i could never imagine my unit making our clerks do that - short staffed or not. it's just not done, or i've never heard of it done before at least.

and a blood sugar of 2.1??! how was she still alive???? that's some crazy extreme hypoglycemia right there.

ps: that was crazy about the pregnant lady. your hospital sounds almost as crazy as mine. is yours a trauma one too?

She was actually sitting up chatting away before I came to check it!!! I dunno how she was asymptomatic with a sugar that low.

No, actually our hospital isn't a trauma one. It's just weird.

Yeah - if my manager was on duty I never would've been near the patients.

Whooooa Jas! I wouldn't have been able to handle the 80 year old that had blood everywhere. I think I would've vomited. Damnit. Idk why I wasn't born with a stronger stomach.

My jaw dropped when I read about the pregnant lady giving birth to her dead baby. That's so sad. Really, really sad.

I'm exhausted after reading all of that.

damn jas..that is one heck of a day you had. but be glad that you survived it and it's over.

and in regards to your comment u left at my website. lolz i'm one step ahead of you. i submitted my resume for an administrative/clerical position to a few hospitals around me. in the meantime the volunteer thing will just have to help me gain some experience. dr offices around here are so anal. they won't even give u a thought if u dont have experience. and i'm like well how the heck am i suppose to get any if every single office is like this. *pft* ah well.
