Oooh you got them lasered! Congratulations! One day, I will get that done when my eye-sight stops deteriorating so much ;'( Were you scared at all? I'd be terrified like what if the laser messes something up and I lose my eyesight?!
Well, driving in I was pretty scared. They gave me a ton of those pupil-dilating drops because they need to get them as big as possible.
After the Valium I wasn't nervous at all. I took my pulse and it was pretty slow. I even hummed throughout the procedure - I was so relaxed! The laser they used actually targets and tracks where it's supposed to shoot so even if you flinch and move it won't miss. You don't feel much of anything because of the eye numbing drops, but once they wear off at home you start to tear up quite a bit, but it stops as soon as you wake up from your sleep.
My prescription was pretty unstable (changing every 1.5 - 2 years) and they can do Lasik even if your eyesight deteriorates quickly.
Try to see if any place around you offers a free consultation?
woohoo you got laser eye doneee i wanna get it done. i heard quite a bit of ppl have gotten them done. but i'm still scared like crazy to get them done. what if i loose ALL my eyesight? *lol* ugh, and i think the part where everything goes black scares me even more. i mean ur seeing one minute the next it's like blackness. *haha* ohhh i'm a chickennn.
but i do want perfect vision again *sigh* LOL
first i want laser hair removal! *haha* i'm tired of shaving. plus my mom noticed that i have so many scares from nicks and cuts and she's like "you're not careful! stop rushing!" *haha* i can't help but love me beloved sleep :P *haha* oh well first armpits then legs. then we'll see where i go from there. HAHAHA.
I'm still dilated from the drops, but so far so good! I'm able to read street signs, make out pretty much everything. My eyes are a little dry at times, but the lubricating drops help out a lot.
Vision still isn't perfect - it fluctuates, but that's to be expected for the first few weeks.
I am glad to hear you are doing well! My sister got this done and she has 15/20 vision... more than perfect. I on the other hand would love to get this done, but I have to wait til the baby is 1 year old to get my vision back to normal.... blah!
