that last line killed me because it's the complete truth.
but i think that the senses that provoke the strongest memories are the ones that we manipulate to stay attached to that time in our lives.
for example, when i broke up with my ex last year, hey there delilah came on the radio and i went home and put it on repeat for a week and now i can't listen to that song anymore. i didn't go home and smell his cologne on my skin and remember that, i listened to the song and that is the sense that impacted me the most.
wow i really don't make sense right now. sorry heath im going off of like 2 hours of sleep but that is my really bad hypothesis for you.

for some people, scent might be stronger.
but, for people like us whose lives basically revolve around the music we listen to, sound is more powerful.
