you would be the old mkan that sits onm a porch listening to the radio...

i think barry bonds is taking steriods...i also think that in different times there are different things that are accepted...some baseball players in the old days took enhancers, they were just never talked about...we live in the age where everything should be pure and things like the homerun record should be achieved solely on talent

i think that we just need to go back to the 30's when baseball was a simple game you could sit and enjoy watching...

like 50 cent hotdog nights at the red barons...

some baseball players in the old days took enhancers...

Players used to use amphetamines instead of stuff like Human Growth Hormone. All amphetamines really do is increase alertness and and physical activity. "Enhancers" as we know them first came to light in the 80s with Jose Conseco.

They were never talked about because no one really knew it was going on. People suspected it, and those who did know didn't think it was that big of a deal. I mean in the middle of the 1998 season, Mark McGwire, while he was chasing Roger Maris' single season home run record, was found with "Andro," a performance enhancer banned by the Olympics and the NFL in his locker. Bud Selig decided to ignore it, saying that under baseball's current rules, McGwire had done no wrong. That makes me mad, the fact that the problem was kind of discovered when it first started, baseball just turned a blind eye to it all.

Things are sacred. Baseball is still sacred, and that's why the players are taking steroids: they want to be superstars that will be remembered forever. Things are still sacred to us, just not to them.
