The work day. After a long journey through academia I am now in the work world. The 9am to 5pm, staring at a computer, task after task, work world. And let me remind you, I’m not just in any work world, I’m in the non-profit work world. I love Portland. It hasn't hit me that I live here yet, still feels like I'm on vacation. I'm going to Seattle with Brandi tomorrow then start Americorps training on Monday. I am so lucky this all worked out. Now for the hard part, making friends.

There are two distant futures I see.

1. I will work at a non profit, have a partner, a house and be settled.

2. I will live in Latin America, work with revolutionaries for justice, and have an undying love affair with a beautiful Latin man.

Crossing my fingers for #2. First step, Spanish classes.

I miss Women's Studies already...

Such a good trip!

I also found out that I got an Americorps position in Portland. HELLO PORTLAND HERE I FUCKING COME.
