Should Jess continue in her pursuit of band-geek status and actually take a band class next year? In which case she'll actually have to get with the program and pick up that damn trombone.

Or, eff all the classes she'd love to take (dude! Hockey class?!?!!? No way! Frikkin awesome!) and get a 5/6 period schedual.

because if you did number two: when you get home, you'll be thinking about all the great classes you could be taking in the afternoon, and wonder why you're doing something else. which maynot be all that exciting, depending.
haha, sorry, that was pessimistic, but seriously, that's kinda the way i'd feel
