CHESTER GOES TO THAILAND
Chester Bennington of Linkin Park went to Thailand on Wednesday to encourage tourists to visit the area and to assess the needs of the tsunami-devastated areas. The rocker stopped at two elementary schools and helped other volunteers paint a house, noting that while the island of Puhket has recovered faster than other tsunami-affected areas, money is still needed for orphaned children and for damaged schools. Linkin Park joined together with American Red Cross to launch Music for Relief to provide assistance for people in affected countries-and made an initial donation of $100,000.
