Abortion :: Abortion is a rough issue. I am pro-choice, because there are many instances in which a mother has no say in her pregnancy. If abortion regularly becomes a person's solution to unprotected sex though, then I believe its wrong. Despite anyone's view on abortion, the government should not be able to control it anyway, because that's a direct infliction on personal rights.
Drugs/Alcohol :: I have many friends who are deeply sucked into lifestyles of drugs and alcohol. I don't feel its right for me to tell them to change their ways, or not talk to them for those reasons, because its their own choice. I don't smoke and I drink occasionally but its not a big problem. I'm not some hardcore straight edge person though, but I do respect that lifestyle.
Premarital Sex :: Premarital sex is fine for anyone who thinks they are ready. Sleeping around isn't a smart thing to do, but its personal decision. But if you just have sex with someone you really care about and they feel the same towards you, then its perfectly fine.
Selt Infliction :: A better way to phrase that would be self injury, self infliction doesn't sound right, but that's just a minor correction. Anyway, this is a rough topic for me because I have been struggling with self injury for three years now. I don't tell others to do it or not to do it, because its a tough habit to break and I know that personally.
Drunk Driving :: When I was in fourth grade, I lost a classmate to drunk driving. He was only 10, and it was his brother who had been driving. Drunk driving scares me, and I don't want to end up doing that. Its not that hard to have a designated driver, and it's soo much safer.
Death Penalty :: The death penalty could kind of go either way. Some people deserve to die for what they did, sure. But prison for life is almost a more extreme punishment. Atleast they suffer for a long time then. This can be contradicted too though, by the fact that prison provides criminals with three meals a day, a bed, clothes, and a roof over their head. Ahh, who knows.
Labels :: Labels are so rediculous. But we all use them at some point in time, and that's inevitable. It's just the way things are. Nowadays too many people are breaking label barriers anyway, and combine styles and such. So yeah, labels are pretty useless.
