a couple of points:

- stupid scenesters and their white belts.

- great dirty hip hop: el-p f/ vast aire - "dr. hell no vs. the praying mantis."
- my favorite sex album is Miles Davis - Bitches Brew but it doesn't lend itslef well to making a mix-tape.
- ruff crazy blues: tom waits - "Filipino Box Spring Hog"
- mainstream hip hop like ludacris and missy are great for grinding.
- the stooges - "gimme danger" (the stooges are great dirty dark rock n' roll.)
- velvet underground - "ermine in furs" best song about s&m ever.
- half of these people are probably going to say bands like the rapture/hot hot heat/ !!!, etc. but fuck dance punk. if you want to dance listen hip hop or even some Justin Timberlake. The Neptunes make the hottest beats around.

i got the gist of what you meant before. "venus in furs" and "femme fatale" are my top two favorite vu songs. i think they're mostly under fucking rated.

the only song by hot hot heat i even like is "talk to me, dance with me." other than that, they can promptly fuck themselves as hard as they deem necessary.
