Gee, I'm glad the suffragettes didn't employ that logic in their own lives: "The men keep telling us we haven't got the mental capacity to vote. I guess they're right -- I mean, they keep going on about it."

Or the civil rights movement: "Whitey keeps telling us we're an inferior race. Maybe we do only belong at the back of the bus."

I've never had to tell my male friends that they were sexist, bigoted, insensitive, or crude but that's because they've never acted that way (I dunno, I guess they must have been raised by their dads or something (oh, the abhoration of nature!)) If you're drawing that much fire from women ('cause all women are the same, and any one woman speaks for all of them, you know) then maybe the shoe already fits - no shrinking required.
