The arrival.

Nov 13, 2005 22:20

Well, it is my first day in this institution and I believe it has gone quite well. The Headmaster was courteous enough to allow me to join class late, therefore I shall make my best efforts to live up to his expectations and express my gratitude by doing my best during lessons. The building itself is indeed lovely, just as General Beatrix described ( Read more... )

Thank you, Professor. I'm afraid your subject will prove to be especially challenging... Yet I shall do my best not to be left behind. Are there any books from the Library that you could recommend? I'm afraid mother did not allow me to study Muggle habits.

Eh... *clears throat* ... Your daughter is indeed quite lovely. She has got beautiful eyes.

Don't worry about it, Muggles Studies is easy enough if you're willing to learn and you are willing to try your best so I don't think you'll have too many problems. [Insert book names here ] these can help a lot. And remember, if you ever need some extra help or need a more in depth explanation don't be afraid to come see me. :D I'm always willing to help my students.

....I KNOW. :DDD Her eyes are like my WIFE'S BEAUTIFUL EYEEEES~ aaah~ ♥

Thank you so much, Professor Hughes. I'll be sure to make a stop by the library after class to collect those books. I promise I will do my best not to cause you to have to go through extra trouble.

*giggles softly* And I'm sure they are.

Your first day? I suppose you're a transfer then? I'd be happy to show you around if you like. =) I'm afraid it's easy to get lost here if you don't know your way around...

That'd be greatly appreciated, miss, but only if it isn't much trouble to you. Nevertheless, I have to thank you for your kind offer. I am indeed a transfer student, as I was home-schooled until now.

My name is Garnet, it's a pleasure to meet you.

*slightly embarrassed* ... I-Is it not proper for a school? I'm afraid I have always been taught to express myself this way.

Where ya from that they teach you to talk like that?

Pardon? *blinks--takes a moment* Oh. Oh. I see... Well, I shall try my best to... *hesitantly* Loosen up... a tad? I wouldn't wish anyone to think I'm being condescending. ._.'' Thank you for pointing it out.

Oh, I believe I haven't asked for your name... I'm Garnet, it's a pleasure to mak---*corrects herself quickly* meet you.

I come from the kingdom of Alexandria.

((XD Poor Garnet and her commoner-speech impediment.))

*Raises an eyebrow* So you'd be a transfer student, then?

Well, Hogwarts is rather large, with its various towers, floors, rooms, and other things that make it seem wonderful. *shrugs*

Oh, and since you are sort of new here, you should watch out for the stairscases. They like to move around a lot.

My name is Shin. Shin Sawada, and it is a pleasure to meet you. *nods a bit*

*nod* I am indeed a transfer student. My name is Garnet Til Alexandros. Pleasure to make your acquaintance, Mister Sawada.

Thank you so much for the advice on the staircases, I'll be sure to be alert when using them. *smiles a bit shyly* It seems there is still quite a bit I need to learn about this school...

I rather like the structure of the castle itself. I have only visited a few rooms since I arrived, yet I must say that what I have seen brings back memories of home... So it makes the transfer a tad easier on me.

"what I have seen brings back memories of home... "

..... You must be loaded to have a home akin to Hogwarts. *scans the writings between Garnet and Yuffie*

.... Oh, I see. *bites his lower lip lightly - talking to Royalty isn't Shin's strongest suit* Wow. Um. Well, you'll get used to this place in time. It all takes time, some getting used to, and maybe a map for your first couple of weeks here. After you've memorized where your classes are, you can basically just go on to your classes without having to consult a map.

Also, if you're up for some reading, you should look up "Hogwarts - A history" to learn about the school, and various bits of information that will help your stay here much more rewarding, I guess you can say.

I wouldn't be surprised if I get lost more than once, hee. I have been given a map, but the castle just seems to shift at every turn. *chuckles, looking a bit sheepish* Maybe it's just me.

Oh, I'll be sure to get that book when I'm in the library. I could use more information... Thank you for the recommendation. It's really appreciated. *smiles*
