this morning
i found comfort

i found comfort in actually having to pull the covers up to my neck.
not because the AC was turned down too low
but because the windows were open.
and the year's first breath of chilly air was
being blown around my room.

and i was truly cold

today i went out (in a sweater and jeans) and actually shivered.
everyone was shopping in their fall lights
and i was happy.

it's a glorious day.

i can't wait to start wearing sweaters and scarves and such.
i also can't wait for all the things that we have planned to come to pass.

such a simple subject matter, but it made me smile and filled me with delight.

i awoke to the same glorious feeling
and i layed in bed an extra half an hour because it felt oh-so perfect.
