Ok. So. I'm not referring to the family kind of love or the love you get in friendships. I'm talking about that "I love you so much I can't shite" kind of bollocks you see in films, on tv, blah blah everywhere. I can't understand why so many people are so desperate for something that ultimately causes so much pain. I know love has its good bits - the sex, the cuddles [-_-] and all that, but in all honesty I can get that on a one night stand. If it's the conversation you're after, you've got friends for that. Why put yourself through so much pain, angst and other emotional bollocks just for a long-term partner? It makes no sense to me at all. Love is a horrible emotion - it depresses people, it makes them angry, makes them jealous, makes people do stupid things. It's a catalyst for alll the negative emotions and yet so many people are going out actively LOOKING for it.
