I'm watching Live 8 right now. Holy shit, it's terrible. Jay-Z and Linkin Park are performing right now. It makes me want to cry. And no, I'm not talking happy tears. Shakira was on awhile ago and was adorable, as usual. I've still got mad love for Jay-Z though, 4r34lz. I don't think I've ever even remotely liked a rap song, but I just don't see ( Read more... )

haha, me too. I'd feel embarassed if anyone other than my family would see me right now. I look BUSTED.

I've pretty much refused to watch that because the purpose of it irritates me. Yeah it's cool that they want to raise awareness, but I'm pretty sure I already know that people in other countries are poor. They need to raise money. Ugh, I hope I don't sound like a butthole for saying that, but come on think about it, how many people are there hanging out watching that concert, like 10,000 right? Ask all of them to give like a dollar and you have $10,000 right there. So not hard. Bah. Plus it just gives U2 and Sting another reason to do live performances, and I can't say that I'm a huge fan of either. Not that no one else is. I dunno. I'll stop now. ;) Go shower.

I totally feel you. I thought the same thing earlier. Everyone knows, they're just too busy worrying about what's going on in their own lives and are too damn tight to give up some of their own money. People HAVE been aware. Plus the show sucked anyway. I stopped watching after Greenday butchered "we are the champions". Raising more awareness is a great thing, but yeah. I agree with what you said.

And I'm clean now. :)
