Poem for my girlfriend

There was a girl who loved another girl
But storms raged as they held each other
Lightening cashed above their heads, rain whipped across their faces and tangled their hair
So the girl, afraid of the storms, let go of the other girl and ran far away
She found a nice warm meadow
For several weeks, she basked in the sun
Birds sang and flowers bloomed ( Read more... )

That is just he sweetest thing. Hope she liked it.

Do you and your partner ever plan to marry?

REason I ask, is cause my cousin Anna Marie, Bel's sister, wants to marry her partner Crispy (nickname I gave her, cause I call my cousin Bananas.)

They want me to plan the wedding, I've never planned a same sex wedding. My whole family knows Anna is a lesbian, but Crispy family has no idea. So I kind of wonder, who will come to wedding ceremony.

We really aren't at the stage to talk of marriage yet. We plan to be together indefinitely, but marriage is something we haven't spoken of directly. I would like to have a legal partnership with her someday, but something like that is in the future. Personally, I'm not sure I want a samesex marriage. It seems a little strange to me. I would be interested in a domestic partnership or a civil union, but marriage, I dunno. Also, I don't know if it's allowed in our state. I don't think it is.

Samesex weddings aren't really much different than hetero weddings. I would plan it exactly as you would for a friend who was marrying a man, but taking into account each bride's personality and taste. It is sad that Crispy's family won't be there, but if they don't know perhaps that is for the best? Hopefully she has friends who know and will want to come.

Also, neither of our families know and we plan to keep it that way, and what's the point of a marriage ceremony if not to have your family there?
