ADMITTED TO THE SCHULICH SCHOOL OF BUSINESS - May 28th, 2004
I really didn't think I'd get in. I knew today was the day to check...and I was expecting a rejection...=) guess not. I only had at 89.5 avg at midterm. ^__^
Brandon told me UTSC is better than Schulich that's why he picked UTSC over Schulich...same with Cheryl, you should ask like one of them why and stuff lol because they probably have reasons.
yeah, there's a few people that rejected schulich for some reason... I think it's that you can do coop at ut....and I unnno the thing is, it's WAY more expensive to go to ut....it's about 8k a year, whereas york is about 5k and there's entrance scholarships
but then again, utsc is way easier to stay into b/c u only need 70% to stay....whereas...york is 80%
BUT.. utsc ...you have to go to school during the summer, which doesn't really allow you to have a part time job
You don't need a part time job because after first year you'll just work for a year or something and you'll make A LOT more money from that than you could during one summer anywhere else.
Hehe but I don't know, it seemed like it was your dream to get into Schulich, maybe go for that because you worked so hard for it. You wanted to go since grade 10 or 11 right? Do you know anyone at Schulich? Maybe ask them how it is and stuff.
The good side it's kind of like a win win situation here for you because either program is really good, so in a way I guess you can't really go wrong with either choice right? You have to decide by the 14th of June right?
Of course Brandon said it was better.. he's going there! And Lindsay's there! Hehe.
But in all honesty, the co-op is definitely what makes UTSC attractive, so it depends what you're looking for. Don't let the part-time job thing get in the way of your decision. You have the REST OF YOUR LIFE to work. And don't let the scholarship sway your decision, either. Choose what's best for you!
i'll make a chart and write down pros and cons of each one on their own table. Then i'll give a number as a 'factor' of importance. Like a pro that isn't that importaint, but still a pro would get a mark of "1"... vs... a pro which is a REALLY GOOD pro.. a 5 or something :P and cos would do the same but w/negetive numbers :D
then i'll add the numbers up and see which place got the higher score :D
-___________-'' i'm such a freak i know. I have never ever DONE that actually.. but if i were u, i just might, lol
haha really? haven't heard anything from word of mouth?
I remember asking him questions before, then I didn't want to anymore because I think I was drawing out the topic for too long and was annoying him or something ....so uhm. maybe someone else :)
