Well since my last update, hmm where to start.
First off, I think my daughter (who isn't 2 yet till the 19th) either has me on a hidden camera show or is in training for the X-Games!
She was climbing on the back of her mini-recliner, we're talking pushing it over and sitting on the back of it, rocking away. Of course, at first she wasn't rocking much, just enough to make it wobble a little and scared her.. Then she got a little braver and started to REALLY rock it, so I got up to get her seeing trouble ahead, she pulled back - Kerrrack!! Back of the head, Meet the corner of the TV stand.. Mommy - Meet the ER! She busted the back of her head open, not real big but big enough it needed 1 staple. Can we say ouch?
Secondly, We have another addition to the family -- RELAX, I'm not pregnant, did not have a baby and not tell anyone I was pregnant -- We got a dog. Her name is Emma Grace, because without the middle name Grace, she hasn't got any.. She is a flashy fawn boxer and if you haven't guessed by now - she is a girl.. lol
I enrolled her into Puppy Classes at the local PetSmart, to graduate she has a lot of stuff she has to do the first time being told, needless to say - I don't think she is passing.. lol. I work with her at home, not just there and she does pretty good at home, but there is a completely different story. She was doing good, was submissive and listened quite well at first. The last 2 times was a completely different story.. 2 weeks ago, she attacked another dog, after trying to get her to calm down by just laying her one her side - when the dog came back, she was ready for round 2. So the trainer, not only forced her into submission, but used pressure points to calm her. And then last week, she didn't try to eat anyone (thankfully) but did NOT want to listen to me or the trainer, once again because she was wanting to be dominant. The trainer put a gentle leader on her (for those of you who don't know what they are, they are used to train dogs that pull when you're trying to walk them, hence the name "Gentle Leader") because she wouldn't listen to either of us, she put it on her to get her attention and show her who was in charge. After a little while, after fighting it of course, she gave up and gave in. So far so good. We got her at 6 weeks, she is now 4 months and house broken and for me to have an almost 2 year old - I think I did damn good.
Finally, the third thing, which goes back to a couple of lines into the first thing, Gianna either has me on a hidden camera show or is seriously training for the X-Games.. I went to go get the dog about 2 weeks ago, trying to get her to come out of the bedroom and into the rest of the place with Gianna and I.. All while talking to Shaun on the phone. And again I hear... Kerrrack!! Followed by a very noticeable hurt/painful cry. I go running to the kitchen to discover Gianna has pulled her high chair onto her and her nose is bleeding profusely.. Being a new mom knew to all the things she can do to hurt herself and never having had a broken nose or a close relative with a broken nose, I don't know what it looks like or how it acts and being overwhelmed and extremely freaked out by all the blood and tears, I instantly think it is broken. Mind you Shaun is at work, has the car - I'm shit out of luck. Calling him frantically telling him to get here now, I think Gianna's nose is broken. He rushes home, we rush to the ER, only to discover it isn't broken just a lot of swelling and bruising.. Thankfully since her little nose doesn't have a lot of bone in it, the highchair hit in a good spot, well as good as one could hope if it had to happen, because it was below the bone in her nose. We were told to put ice on it as much as we could, watch for the bruising and swelling to go down and if it did not look like her nose to contact an Ear, Nose & Throat doctor. She has the chunky face anyways, all I could see was swelling, so I called in re-enforcements, Great Grandma known to Gianna as the all mighty "Mommaw". She takes a look, tells me all she sees is bruising, no swelling and looks like her nose. I really needed someone who didn't see it swollen to give me their opinion because it looked fine to me (although I still thought I saw swelling)...
After all the excitement, she is safe and sound. Spending a few days with the grandparents in Ohio and giving Mommy time to get the house clean really good. The kind of stuff you can't do with a munchkin running around behind, especially a climber who won't sit still and likes to go behind and undo all of your hard work no sooner do you get it done.
I know I said I was going to post some pictures, but it is almost 2am and I'm actually really tired, so please don't shoot me for not posting them, I will try tomorrow. I had to stop, no lie, in the middle of this post to go do laundry for Shaun for work, so I am not only tired, but my back hurts.. 3 flights of stairs for laundry will do that to someone who has problems/muscle spasms in her lower back..
But seriously, now I'm so tired, I'm just rambling, so I am taking my sorry ass to bed. Good Night/Good Morning everyone.. I'll check back && try to post pictures of my 2 girls when the sun comes back out && I finally decide to pull my sorry ass up from under the covers..
Take Care!!
