Yesterday I checked out a book in which someone had methodically, vigorously scratched out every instance of the word "fuck". I then proceeded to asterisk these marks and print neatly at the bottom, the offending word

Someone actually wrote a several page long poem about marginalia - writing all over books, essentially. In Nebraska they just burn them instead ala Footloose style hahaha. I would love to give them a Sedaris book and see what happens!
