Anyone have an idea as to which available recording of this is most faithful to the original? I like both the UA and Qntal versions, but would like to get ahold of a version that could possibly be arranged for a cappella (as I sing in a medieval/eclectic group at my college, and we're always on the lookout for music). I haven't heard that version..

Also do you know anywhere where I could find the english translation to UA's verions of the song?

I think there's a translation in the lyric book of Qntal's album; I can get it when I get back to school on Sunday. Which one? Both?

No, I meant which of "Palastinalied" and "Frühling" - or wait, have you heard the UA version of Frühling? Er, I think it's on the Empty Into White maxi - either that, or it's unreleased and I've only heard it live.

My favorite version is the one mentioned here, from Unto Ashes. The Qntal version is very pleasing. I believe Corvus Corax also has a rather strong version. There are a lot of medieval ensembles who have also made beautiful interpretations of "Palastinalied."
