Local theater

Local theaters are killing themselves by fighting with each other and not supporting each other-we have entirely too many theaters in our area and they all stage shows on the same weekends, at the same times, etc. Years ago when there were only the three big theaters, Music Box, Showcase and Little Theater, people worked together to make all three theaters work. After years of squabling, people have broken away and started their own theaters where they can get the leads all the time-they stopped playing as a team and just looked out for number one. No one or no business can survive when you work against each other-second opinion, there are lots more places to go now with the arena, other theaters, movie places, college plays and concerts, people have more to choose from, which is a good thing. Hopefully the Music Box will not close, and neither will Showcase, but if they do, I thank them for years of wonderful times.
