So, since I have no way of coming up with $20,000 before May 1 and my parents won't pay the $650 worth of deposits for Wentworth without a guarantee of me being able to go there, looks like I'm stuck at the Mount for at least another semester. Hell, if I had the money I'd give it to you. Have you looked into loans that you can take out in your own name from banks? They have them available; I have one (for like 5 grand-- and if I can get one from one bank for that, anyone our age could probably get one, or some from several banks to cover the cost of college). They just waive payments 'til you're out of school. The most they'll require is your parents to co-sign, which just means that in the event you default (which I would deem unlikely, being that you're definitely the responsible type) they assume the responsibility.
Pleaseplease don't give up on going there. If you have to circumvent your parents, do it. It'll be worth it, I promise. This is your future. Who the hell are they to decide what you can and can't do with it??
