Opinions on-
Abortion:i believe a woman has the right to choose if she has the capability, maturity, and will to have a child. recently [aka election 04] people wanted to go to the complete extreme ends of extremism on the political spectrum. Democrats were by far pushing for ultimate choice up to before birth, and Republicans are actually stating that there may now be a law mandating doctors treating women with abortions to tell them that the fetus feels the pain, so would they like to put the fetus under anesthesia. i say ultimately, adoption is a good consideration to make.
Gay Marriage:it's actually interesting to know a variety of opinions on gay marriages coming from my community.im in GSA (gay/straight alliance] and to know honest-to-god wonderful women and men who are fighting to proclaim their love is so heart-breaking. The judeo-christian people are fighting this fact because of the word "marriage." honestly- it is a word that American society has signified as the beginning of a meaningful, life fulfilling relationship with someone you love. However, the bible or dictionary term of marriage signifies unity under God as 'man and woman.' take the word marriage out of the dictionary, and all hypocricies can end.
Self- harm:hmm... i don't want to sound like a 'cold-heart bitch' but, the way i see it, self-mutilators are divided in two: 1)those who honestly have a pyschological problem and need counseling; and 2) those who thrive off attention, and this is another form of that. I know the whole 'i cut myself bc im in pain, so if i concentrate my pain on this cut on my arm, there-in lies to problem and the solution." for example, this girl i know tells everyone she cuts herself and shows her wrists. at first, all concern arises, bc it's natural to react that way. but then when life doesnt go her way, for example "my mom got me a blue 05 honda civic, and i wanted a RED ONE. i wanna die im so sad" and that my friends, is a true story. Blah blah, so im ranting now haha. but anyways. self-harm= bad outlet. i'd rather you talk your problems out with me, or punch your pillow, or cut your dolls wrists, just dont do it to yourself.
