I hate Christmas. Actually I just hate the shopping. Too many pushy people. Who is prepared for the holidays? I am not!

First of all I have a personal rule, which goes pretty much that there shall be no talk of Christmas prior to my birthday. ;)

I am not ready for my birthday party yet, really. I'll be busy with that the coming days (starting on Friday).

I don't have a shopping problem in regards to Christmas, since in my family presents are related to Saint Nicholas' Eve, not Christmas. I will be sending out Yule ;) cards, I already have a set, I need to check if I have enough, but that'll work out one way or another.

I don't actually hate shopping, though the activity isn't really one of my hobbies. Mostly I need to make time to shop for nice furniture at the moment. I am probably going to do that in January, I guess..

Pushy people are always a nuisance.

I tend not to like all the december festivities much, but I do like the temperature.. I guess I am comparatively ready for a few weeks off. ;)

When's your birthday? I will try to remember not to mention Christmas again till after it.

My family is all about Christmas. (ooops...mentioned Christmas) Yule is something new to me in the last couple of years. I have been on the circle mailing list for three or four years now but I didn't join as a pagan or witch or anything like that. It was purly interest that attracted me. lol Funny thing is I had no idea what I was in for when I joined. All the religious stuff and such. :)

So if your gifts are related to Saint Nicholas' Eve and not Christmas how does that make shopping any easier for you as opposed to me who buys gifts relating to Christmas? Or did you mean you just do Yule cards and no gifts?

Actually I enjoy shopping...as long as there is no one else around. lol A new house right? Shopping to furnish a new house would be a lot of fun.

As for the temperature comment...you like the cold? brrrr

My birthday is the 16th. LOL. I was just indicating a personal preference, you know that. ;)

I am from a (somewhat conservative) Christian background. But my family most certainly isn't all about Christmas. Christmas is just a hijacked version of the old midwinter with not that much true meaning. Easter is much more important to Christianity.

I am an agnostic, but at some point I ran into pagan folk and tried to figure things out. ;)

Saint Nicholas' Eve was last week, so I don't have to worry about it right now. ;)

Actually, I don't feel like an interior decorator much, and I don't really want to go shopping for it by my own that much. Though I tend to shop alone (efficiently, too ;)).

I like cold a lot better than heat.

Happy Birthday to you!
Happy Birthday to you!
Happy Birrthday to Jeroen!
Happy Birthday to you. :)

It's a wonderful personal preference, and have an awesome day.

As for Christmas and family, my Mother has always been a little crazy about Christmas. It was tough for her when her kids all started having their own families and she couldn't have the regular early morning madness of gift giving. lol
I guess my family would be of a somewhat conservative christian group as well. No church and such though.

I believe in a greater power, universal power, all is one one is all. So what does that make me? Not agnostic I suspect. I don't believe in God as one being, one sex, overseeing all.
God is a woman you know! ;) And I don't consider myself to have a religion per se.
I ran into Pagan folk by accident. lol

Good thing you like the cold since you were born in December.
Brrrr. Me likes the Spring when everthing is warming up. :0)
