MOTHER 3 - GBA - 2006 (JAPAN ONLY)
Few video games have conveyed emotion as well as Mother 3 has, which I would rank right up there with a movie in terms of the emotional pull it gives the player. The scene in question is probably known to anyone who has played the game but just to clarify I am, of course, talking about the game's final battle and ending. I absolutely refuse to spoil it for those who haven't played the game so if you haven't I strongly suggest obtaining a copy of Mother 3 by ROM, import, however you want to do it and applying the fan translation patch. Everyone should play this game, whether they are a fan of RPGs or not. Let me put it this way: Mother 3 is the only video game I've ever played that has made me cry. Not just get sad, not just get teary eyed, it made me flat-out cry. Tears rolling down my cheeks and everything. You wouldn't expect that from such a simplistic looking game on the Game Boy Advance of all things, but it's the truth. Mother 3 is beautiful. Screw Nintendo of America for nothing bringing this game stateside.
