Because let's face it, nobody's early work is actually very good, so you should maybe skip those if you're looking for, I don't know, really shining stuff. Or something. And, yeah. That's the sad thing. I wondered if my opinions would be different, almost three years after writing that. And no, they're really not. But, even amid the cliches, I think there's so much fabulous writing out there that we can overlook them. :]
