so, i want a digiSLR... im thinking of saving for nikon d70 but hell, who am i kidding?! its way too expensive for someone like me to have.. any suggestions as to what i should buy? like a second choice for a nikon d70?

accck i dunno about you but i think nikon d70 is worth saving up for. its rather cheap for an intercheangeble lens camera.

I'm having the same dilemma!
except my dream camera is the Canon 10D which is wayyyy too much $$
so I was thinking the cheaper Canon Rebel 300D

I've had people tell me the Rebel is amazing
I've had people tell me Nikon D70 is amazing

I don't know :( I'll probably get a Canon though.

canon's are much cheaper... but nikons have reputations nobody can top!! GR

The D70 is miles better then the Canon 300D (Rebel), but neither is as good as the Canon 20D, but that sadly costs a lot more.

In all honesty, stick with a good old 35mm camera like the Canon EOS 30, get some slide film and cross process :P

So whats wrong with 35MM? Digital photos are so lifeless IMHO, I don't care what people say, but they lack the depth and organic feel of classic E6 and C41 processed film :)

i have an SLR, nikon FE... hehe... call my sudden liking of digiSLRs to the unavoidable craving for something you dont have
