I wish! maybe in the next year or two. there is a science writing masters program there that I would love to do, but I have to do some research and take the GREs and decide if I actually want to do it, haha. it's nothing definite right now.

There almost no local industry = bad economy in Humboldt, Scotia and Fortuna. These towns were essentially logging towns and when the mills went bust so did most of the professional jobs.

Steer clear of Livermore if you can. It seems as though there is more to do there than there actually is, and a high majority of the young people remaining are charming and attractive sociopaths.
