This morning I was sitting in the Barnes & Noble cafe and there were two Italian women (possibly a mother & daughter) talking to each other. A few minutes later, I looked up and realized that they were both weeping. I've no idea why because they were exclusively speaking Italian ( Read more... )

Hope you don't mind me commenting.. I saw your reply elsewhere and found myself here.
I agree completely.. yet find myself still saying 'good' or more grammatically correct 'well' to avoid further conversation.

Did you ever find out what was the matter?

Nope, I never found out what was going on.
But I think you do bring up a good point. If you don't want to talk to someone, sometimes the only response to get them to leave you alone is, "I'm good."

I have an alias called mixetc.
Not many people pick up on the et cetera et cetera, life goes on endlessly, it's all a big pattern thing... which I think you get.
