i was watching everybody loves raymond and i had an epiphany. why the fuck would anyone want to get married? marriage seems like a good idea, you find someone you are so into and you want to spend every minute with them, but seriously. that fades so fast. it's not just hanging out and having fun, it's like fighting over your in law's anniversary ( Read more... )

why would you think you'd have to be lonely? there would still be people, "love interests" and whatever, just never with the intention of committing your entire life to this person.

Anyways, that's just the way I roll. It happens to me. Some people need a little solidarity, not to feel like every last thing in their life is so fleeting. And what Madeline said, my parents were the same way.

I dont know, my parents have been together for 32 years and yeah they have their arguements over things such as inlaws and anniversary cards, but they have each other as their emotional support.
They're more than lovers, they're so compatable its ridiculous...
and yet, they're still all lovey dovey.
