My aunt is a lesbian and I grew up around her and her partner. They are wonderful, normal people. I never thought there was anything wrong with having two aunts. I thought I was lucky because they would take me shopping and to do 'girl stuff' all the time ^_^ I didn't understand why people always talked ugly about them and called them sick because they were always so wonderful to me. It made me so angry...

Just because they have different views on sexuality does not make them sick or monsters. They both adore children and are VERY family oriented...what's so sad is that at one time they tried to adopt a child...but were denied since they were gay sickos according to the adoption agency. That really makes me sad...that there are so many kids out there who suffer and are alone due to close minded ignorance.

I also have many, many gay and lesbian and even bisexual friends whom I dearly love. People that are THAT close minded I stay far away from. I can't stomach their ignorance...not for a minute.

You're right, it doesn't. I don't know if you know this (unless you read my new bio over at GJ), but I actually don't support homosexuality (and I don't really feel like going into this, since this isn't the point of my post). But that doesn't mean I like you any less, or that I consider you any less of a human or friend. I love knowing you, and having you on my friends list, because you always make me laugh, which is something I really appreciate.

And, since I'm really nosey curious, did someone give you a hard time?
