Far East Changeling: Still Totally Happening, So Don't Worry

Far East Changeling is in all likelihood happening in spring semester next year, like I originally planned.

My reasoning for this is:

1.) I'd like to get a feel of the Changeling world that I'm creating, and World of Darkness in general. I've never ST'd before in my life! I want to actually do an okay/mediocre job at it for my first game!

Sounds fine to me. I have a hell of a lot of reading to do before I really get my character concept down, so more time is fine with me. This will also let you feel more comfortable as an ST, which is good for you and for any players you have. Don't worry about it, at least for me, more time means a more evolved character. I like being able to react like a character would in any situation and knowing the character inside and out lets me do that. Similarly, you can figure out how you'd want to react to anything we (or if I'm not in the game, they) do which is good for the game. Never feel rushed or pressured, just do what feels right. Also, tell me what books would be good to read. :)

Your plan sounds great; one of the best things I've found to do is to run pick-ups to hone your GMing skills. But it sounds like you've got things well in hand--but I'd suggesting talking to Jeremiah and Andy about GMing. You'll get two vastly different ideas about how a GM should function. I can answer questions and give advice, as well, but I'm not half as experienced as either one of them.

I've been talking to Jeremiah on and off about game theory, which has been helpful. I keep meaning to do the same with Andy, and I'll try to get on that soon. I'd like my game(s) to be a mix of sand-boxing and railroading, because I've been in both sorts of games (run by Andy and Jeremiah, even) that I've learned things from.

I'd also like to run some Far East Changeling pick-ups to also get a flavor for things.
