Today my last surviving goldfish Mac was given away to one of my mom's friends. Our plecostomus Plec went with him. Mac was a good fish, about three years old. He never got seriously ill, which was more his doing than mine. As stupid as it sounds, I'll miss him a lot. Our neighbors had a goldfish for 12 or 20 years, I can't remember which. It lived happily for a long time, though and was well cared for.

I like your ideas at the end of this post.

I had goldfish once. The first one lasted five days. The second, a whole week. After that, I figured maybe I oughtn't have goldfish.

The stress from changing tanks was probably what killed them, and if not that then they might have been sick to begin with. All of my goldfish came from PetCo, and even then there were usually dead fish at the top of their tanks because they were understaffed.

And yes, eventually, when I figure out what it's about.

It was harder than I thought it would be yesterday. I came downstairs for breakfast and to feed Mac, and he was gone. But now I don't need to worry about him! It's weird.

I'm sorry you had to say goodbye to your goldfish. I'm sure they'll be happy in their new home!

I have a huge problem with people who think any animal is fundamentally stupid. I could go on a huge rant here but I won't.

Also, I want to read this comic! It sounds amazing!
