What does everyone think about dating someone older than you? I mean, significantly older. 5-10 years older...

Do you think it's a good idea and why or why not?

i think it depends on how well you know this person. I mean you don't want a guy who expects stuff out of you and you not know it. but if he is like a family friend or something like that then it's ok i guess i mean when my mom was 12 my dad was 17 i mean and they still got married cuz age doesn't matter that much.

Probably not. You could be pressured into doing something you may not want to do otherwise. But that's just my reasoning.

see, that is what I thought too. except when someone asked the person who likes me why he didn't ask me out, he didn't say "because she's not legal". he said "I don't think she would go out with me because she's in high school."

It is all about how well you know the person.I know that I have dated someone way older then me.It is not always the greatest thing.Go with what is in your heart.
