I think your friend is right. Before I could afford internet service, I was totally stealing the neighbor's wireless. One day, I couldn't load any web page but the connection was still at 100% - they locked their signal.

wireless routers can set how many connections it can have at one time. i've set mine to 3 so i can use my PC + phone + laptop at the same time. anything else would be blocked.

Well, I have a few options for you.

1. You have to open up a command prompt (start, all programs, accessories, right-click command prompt and open as an administrator). It will open up a black box.

2. Type in: netsh int ip reset log.txt , hit enter.

3. Type in: netsh winsock reset , hit enter.

4. Restart.

I have no idea. Do you have a PC? If so the window that shows you the wireless connections in the area should let you know if they're locked or not. My neighbors locked their connection so you need a password to get in.
