When you truly love someone, you will put that someone's happiness and well-being before your own.

At least I used to think so.

I feel you slipping away, and it kills me because I don't know how to bring you back.

I thought our friendship meant just as much to you as it meant to me.

I guess the key word there is "meant."

And yes, my facial expression and skin tone really do look like my sun this time.

Ashlee, Sam, and I went to see Lauren recite her poetry on the Saturday before New Year's Eve. We brought her back with us, and she remained practically attached to me until Thursday when I had to take her home. I'm not mad because you made me upset. I'm not mad at all, really. It just scares me to see how emotional you make me sometimes. It scares me that I care that much.

But it's a good scare, if that's any consolation.
