Oh Jimmy. Reading your old journal entries ... I feel honoerd that you're letting me into your life like this. It's very nice to know we aren't just co-workers on "some movie" but that we're friends. I love you so very much.
Your friend forever,
Nat

As it turns out, he and I are great friends now. Some people have stopped being my friends. See, the guy is black, they still have the mentality poisoned with racism. I grew up in a town that was 98% white, but I don't see color. To me, he and I are the same on the outside as we are inside.

Well, thanks, Mr. Welles.

When I was 19 my Pop threw me out of the house. He wanted me to find a reliable job like him, he was upset because I didn't want to go out and look for some crummy job.

It seems to me that anyone who is/was truly great didn't have support from one or both parents. My mother would have supported my decisions entirely - she's the one who taught my recitations, art, dance, music, acting. My father never did seem to want me around after I turned 8. I suppose that's just life.
