How do you NOT know how you were prescriped Prozac?

That's a bit scary. They should have discussed it with you first. Medication should come AFTER counseling has determined it's necessary.

Dag, y0! Definitely find out as soon as you can, dude.

I am, dear.
come this thursday...
I mean I tried to ask before...but I got round of about answers.
like "well i dont think you'll need this in the long run..but maybe it'll help STABILIZE some things" and i was like...um...right...because i'm unstable...what?
*shrugs*
good to hear from you though. glad you still keep in touch.

That's messed up. Sheeeeeeeesh. I'm glad Prozac is all they prescribed you. (That IS all they gave you, right?) Could've been worse. :)

Careful with Prozac, though... it's not as bad as a lot of drugs, but there's still a detox period coming off of it. Talk to your doctor (preferably, a better doctor) before you stop cold turkey. If you just started taking it and have only taken it a few times, you're fine. But if it's been a couple of weeks, it's already built up in your system, and you need to go off of it slowly.

haha why do you need prozac when you have a roomate that is sooo normal and not delusionally happy and hyperactive?

and by normal I mean completely unstable and insane.

or not....meds are for real crazies...doctors dont need to be drugging up people for having emotion...omg...i sound like a scientologist...God help me

I dont think you need meds, you seem perfectly fine and amazing to me :)

Anti-depressants, particularly SSRIs, are used to treat other conditions in addition to depression, such as obsessive-compulsive disorder, tic disorders, and anxiety disorders.

^ Scroll down and that has some info on different medications. Anti-depressants aren't as overperscribed as people think they are, and chances are that if the doctor thought it was necessary to put you on Prozac, you do need to be on some sort of medication and/or go to counselling, whatever. I know I must sound really stupid and robotic telling you this, but trust me. This stuff can work ( ... )

well i had wanted to TALK about going off of it on thursday. but i havent been on medication since last thursday...i have no way to go and pick up my prescription.
and i was only on 10mg of it for one month.
but plain and simple...i couldnt tell any sort of difference. they said i'd notice. and i did not.
and i just don't like the fact that i'm on it making me sad.
i dont know what's wrong with me, if i have mood disorder, or if i am bipolar, or depressed.
but yeah.
